Success! Huge Fundraising Event in Washington, DC

Just this past weekend, on Sunday July 16th, I (Christin Slough, wife of Paul Slough) was privileged to attend an incredibly fun and successful fundraiser hosted by the Pipe Hitter's Union Motorcycle Club - Danger Close Chapter - in Alexandria, VA.

Tons of the club members and their supportive friends from other clubs and chapters came to support the event!

I was met at the airport by a whole contingent of club members, who actually escorted me (motorcade style!) to my hotel and then again to and from the event the next day. I was treated like a Queen from the moment I landed until the moment I left - these kind, generous men and their wonderful wives will forever hold a place in my heart!

So many people and tons of cars!

The actual event was a cornhole tournament hosted at a local brewery benefitting the chapter's local domestic violence. My hand was never free of a cold beer! However, in the lead up to the event, they sold raffle tickets for two AR 15 rifles. The raffle donation and t-shirt sales resulted in a whopping $10,500 contribution to the families of Raven 23. I almost cried! These contributions pay commissary funds, family bills, travel expenses and much more. They are greatly appreciated by all four our families, who will be equal beneficiaries of the funds so we can allot them as each families sees need.

I was so grateful to see their chapter members in support gear - totally warmed my heart!
